Dr. Richard Gorman

Dr. Gorman was raised on Oregon’s southern coast in Bandon. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. While attending law school in Washington, chiropractic was used to remedy a health problem. As a result of this very positive encounter, his interest grew and lead him to pursue training as a Doctor of Chiropractic. After 4 years of additional schooling, Dr. Gorman graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1977.

Dr. Gorman has owned Garden Way Chiropractic for over 40 years. He’s heavily involved in the track and field world - treating many world class athletes. Greatest of all, is his passion for treating his family and helping them stay healthy and active in all they do.

Dr. Colin Phipps

Colin Phipps, DC enjoys working with the entire family, and especially loves working with athletes, infants, young children, and pregnant mothers. He is a proud father of four.

Colin studied at Life Chiropractic College West, graduating in 2000. He received his undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He spent two years working in UC Berkeley’s Sports Medicine Program, caring for their elite athletes, before he chose to dedicate himself, full time, to his family practice in San Francisco and then his second practice in Nevada City, California. He moved with his family to Springfield in the summer of 2021and began working with Dr Rich Gorman at Garden Way Chiropractic Center in 2022.

Angela Gorman

Angela has been with our office for many years, and is the glue that keeps our office thriving! She is passionate about health, nutrition, sports and fitness. She makes our office the warm and inviting atmosphere that it is.

McKenzie Johnston, CPT, CA

McKenzie played basketball at George Fox University where she graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Family Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Fashion Design. She then went on to obtain her personal training certification in 2017. She is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and a licensed Chiropractic Assistant.

McKenzie has worked at Garden Way for 10+ years; she’s added Personal Training & Exercise Rehab to our office since 2018.

McKenzie is married to her wonderful husband Zach and they have two amazing kiddos - Dash and Emery. She enjoys living a healthy active lifestyle and helping others to do the same, while maximizing their fullest potential!

Steve Dunn, LMT

Steve graduated from Lamar University in 1987 with a B.S. degree in physical education, specializing in athletic training, mathematics, and education. He became certified as an athletic trainer in 1988 (a certification he held for 29 years) and licensed as a massage therapist in 1995.

As an athletic trainer, Steve worked in collegiate and high school athletics, as well as two years with an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. Steve has been in private practice as a massage therapist since 1995.

Married with two adult children, he is proud of their accomplishments athletically, academically, and professionally. An avid Duck fan, he enjoys collegiate sports. He also enjoys cooking, running/exercise, and reading.

Shannon Chambers

Shannon has been a chiropractic assistant at Garden Way for over 10 years. She specializes as a cold laser therapist.

Outside of the office, she loves studying nutrition and holistic health, doing yoga, meditation, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Rachel Viquelia

Rachel enjoys creating a positive, nurturing environment while assisting coworkers to help our patients achieve their health goals.

Outside of work, she’s a mother of two busy boys and a little girl. With her free time she enjoys sewing and tailoring clothes.

Dee Wheeler

Dee has been at Garden Way for over 20 years. She bills and monitors all accounts and has over 30 years of experience in the field.

She and her husband Bert have 3 children and lots of grandchildren. Dee loves spending time with her family and time at the beach. She's also active in her church and enjoys baking.
